Hosting & Domain Registration
If you want your website to be visible to the public, you need someone to register the domain name and host the website. We are hosting resellers, so we can organise both for you. Before we design a web Site for you, you will need a domain. Domain names are used to identify one or more IP addresses. For example, the domain name microsoft.com represents about a dozen IP addresses. Domain names are used in URLs to identify particular Web pages. For example, in the URL http://www.cybergraphics.co.za/web-design/, the domain name is cybergraphics.co.za
Every domain name has a suffix that indicates which top level domain (TLD) it belongs to. There are only a limited number of such domains & each differs in price. For example:

Because the Internet is based on IP addresses, not domain names, every Web server requires a Domain Name System (DNS) server to translate domain names into IP addresses. The Domain name is normally the name you call your business or organisation. If for example you want a Domain Name for a nonprofit organisation, your Domain Name would have “.org” at the end.
Once you register a Domain Name, you will need to renew it every year at the same time, or you will lose it.
We offer 2 types of hosting: Html designed web sites, without a Database & WordPress designed sites, which have a database & are therefore more expensive. If you decide to host with us, we charge a yearly fee, which includes a domain name registration or domain name transfer, as well as the annual domain renewal fee. It also includes labor and all admin fees, so there are no hidden costs. Some domain extensions cost more than others, above is a list of the different types & the prices & below is the cost we charge to just host the site.
